That has no bearing on a federal return but depending on the state they might take issue with an expired ID. All you can do is file and see but the state will do.
Your drivers license? The IRS does not require you to enter a drivers license in order to e-file, although entering one may add some security. You can skip it for your federal return. Some states are really picky about requiring a current drivers license though, so you might have a problem e-filing your state. If your state will not allow you to e-file, you will have to print, sign and mail the state.
