Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?
Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund. Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
I am trying to give it to the end of the day, but I'm not going to lie, I have been doing this for many years on this app and it is concerning that I don't have my money yet. DDD 2/24
This is crazy first time and last time using them
Did you use the 5 day early advance? It seems like the delays are focused more towards the people using the new offer and only to be refunded.
Yes but they told me that they couldn’t expedite it so they gave my money bac I called and the lady said today or tomorrow but I told her my date is for today
Everything is approved my date is for today but I haven’t received anything
Look at the status bar for TT did it go back to pending?
Yes why is that?
I'm assuming the rescinded offer put us back on pending. They are saying if the status change to pending on the 2/24 drop and you did 5 days early, then you get it today still. If your status does not go back to pending then you will receive it by 2/26 at the latest.
They playing with my money never again will I use them first and last time
I have been using this service since 2018 and this would be the 2nd time I've have an issue (the first I made 1,000 and that brought me back). Although it isn't that terrible of a platform, it is more expensive than others. This is why a lot of people in our situation really didn't expect to be. I help others file their taxes (most already have their money even though I was accepted 1/27) and I will be switching to CashApp next year because it is more beneficial and has been trending to be one of the fastest payouts.
This is my last time I have never had this problem
Here's an update on what I found out.
1. Most of the delays are being caused by the rescinding of the 5 days advance offer. (Updated pricing)
2. All parties are not cooperating via customer service.
3. If a pending status replaces your bar, then you are most likely to receive by the end of the day.
4. If a pending status doesn't replace your bar you will get it by 2/26.
5. Worst case scenario is if they try to send your refund after the alteration and it doesn't process as planned they will be send paper checks to arrive 5-7 days post IRS ETA.
I received a confirmation approx. 15 min ago that it is now on route to my account. Check your email for an updated timeframe, but this is the most accurate information.
Any luck yet?
