OK ... first TT does not make the payment at all ... it only transmits the debit request WITH the return when it is filed and it is the state who must do the actual debit.
Check the printout or PDF of your return; look for the state cover sheet with the Turbotax logo. If you owed tax, it will show the payment information and how/when you decided to pay.
Read the state payment instructions carefully since most states cannot be paid from within the TT system and requires additional steps.

Yes, I authorized turbotax to process a direct withdrawal from my bank using routing information. The state has already accepted my state returns. Some other users are suggesting that I just wait a few weeks for this process to go through however I do not want to be charged a late fee.
It appears my options are to:
1) wait and it either gets processed or doesn't and I owe late fees
2) find a way to cancel the bank withdrawal and go directly to my state website to pay again.
The link you provided says "When you get ready to file your state return, we'll let you know which tax refund and tax payment options your particular state offers." And when this happened, TT told me to either give permission to TT to authorize a direct withdrawal or to go to the state page to pay. I authorized a withdrawal.
Thanks for your advice.
Again TT doesn't process anything ... the information is sent to the state and they are the ones responsible to process the debit. REVIEW the state filing information page for the exact information you entered into the program including the payment date.
After a return has been efiled and accepted, it can sometimes take the return PDF a while to update and become available at the Tax Home landing screen. If you can't use the Download/print button at the Tax Home or the "Download/print the PDF" link in the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents", OR if you're getting incomplete documents when you use one of those methods, here's an alternate way to print by opening the filed return back up to print at the Print Center.
NOTE: When you open your return back up, do not make any changes in it if it's already been filed. If you later have to amend the return, it has to start off exactly as it was when it was originally filed.
NOTE: Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc. Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
To cancel a state payment and then pay another way will require you to contact the state to find out the cancellation procedure ... since you did not mention which state I cannot help you further.
I am in NC. And I used the TT software purchased and downloaded to my computer. I don't use the "Tax Home", I have the documents saved as a pdf that I turned in already. I got the notifications saying both my federal and state were accepted.
thanks
