Once your return is accepted for processing by the IRS and/or State TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return and/or release of your refund. If you have any inquiries on any delay you should contact the IRS or your state Department of revenue directly for further assistance.

If you signed up for the up to 5 Day Early option there is a few reasons why you might have not receive your refund within the promised up to 5-days.

  • Refund was offset or differed from their estimated refund amount, bringing the refund amount below the minimum threshold or above the maximum. What is a refund offset?
  • Your bank wouldn't accept RTP (Real Time Payments) or Same Day ACH deposits, preventing Intuit from depositing their refund up to 5 days ahead of when the IRS would have deposited their refund.
  • The IRS didn't give Intuit up to 5 or more days of notice in advance. This stopped Intuit from meeting the up to 5 days early expectation.

If TurboTax is unable to deliver the refund up to 5 days early, your order will be canceled and you won't be charged the up to 5 Day Early fee. You will receive a follow-up email with refund and timing update, and if any cancellation is applicable.

If you don’t receive an update email or an automatic refund (if applicable) within a few days you can contact TurboTax Customer Support by clicking the link below

Why did my federal status go from accepted to pending again on here?

I did get an updated email with deposit date of today 2/24. I am not inquiring about the 5 day early. Im asking why on my turbo tax account it showed federal accepted on 1/27 and once irs approved my refund it updated on irs system to deposit date of today 2/24. Thats when i got the email from turbo tax saying my new deposit date which 2/24. But today i login and mow turbo tax says pending where it used to say accepted and all it shows is irs received return on 1/26. Irs already received accepted and approved but the day my deposit is supposed to hit, turbo tax changes my status back to pending only
