In order to retrieve a lost ITIN (that is Individual Taxpayer Identification Number), you will need to call the IRS ITIN Hotline at 1-800-908-9982.
You can answer a series of questions to verify your identity and the IRS will provide you the number.
Keep in mind, if it has been several years since the number has been used, the IRS will deactivate the ITIN and require you to resubmit the Form W-7 and required documentation (original passport) to obtain a new ITIN.
An ITIN, or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, is for taxpayers who don't qualify for a Social Security Number (SSN). It's a 9-digit number that looks like an SSN except it always begins with the number 9.
ITINs are used exclusively for filing tax returns. They don't entitle the taxpayer to Social Security or other benefits.
Form W-7(SP), Solicitud de Número de Identificación Personal del Contribuyente del Servicio de Impuestos Internos is available for Spanish speakers.
I have not received my federal refund fr 2020. I was told to contact the bank with turbo. I called them and the prompts are asking for my ITN ? After I put my social security number in. The prompts won’t except my social security number. How do I get through so I can get my federal ? Thank you Debra Carnnahan
To track down your 2019 refund, you can view your account on the IRS website. From there, you can contact the IRS directly if you need to. You can also view the status of your stimulus payment.
Stimulus Check
If you are looking for your stimulus check, this TurboTax help article might be helpful. If you have not received it yet, you can get it by completing your 2020 tax return with TurboTax. At the end of the interview, the software prompts you about your stimulus payment. If you did not receive one, it will factor in as a credit and you will receive a refund.

@Bubbutsj This thread is old. What specifically are you trying to get more information about? Please explain more clearly what you are trying to do.
Get my ipin
Most taxpayers don't need an IP PIN — the IRS only issues them in select cases. For more details on this, please see our Help Article.
How can I find my itin number
@Polainos An ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) would have been issued to you by the IRS at your request if you cannot get a Social Security number.
