can I file the 1040x through turbo tax or do I need to fill it out on my own and mail to the IRS, and is there any assistance in filling it out somewhere?

ALL amended returns MUST be printed, ink signed and MAILED in by you....

What was wrong? Sometimes the school people don't really know what they are talking about and the tax rules.
