What does "Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available." Exactly mean?

I know what you mean it's I keep saying maybe tomorrow it will be in but tomorrow never gets here all my friend and family recived there refund and I'm like Hay what about me it be nice of I could get one too but all we can do is wait

Im a new member this year has been the worst year for taxes i never felt so hopeless im no happy with the IRS. Im still waiting on my tax Return i got. Audit and its been hell every since i sent them all the paper work they need and still no o e to talk to about my money. I have Kids and need my money

I filed Jan 30 2020 I got my stimulus  but not the 500 for my dependent . And I'm still waiting . As well . A women told me to keep waiting.

When i check the get my payment it still shows they deposited my stimulus check into my account april 15th i still have nothing

I had the same issue, filed Jan 29th and 3moths later it said the same thing. I had to call my local tax advocate. Took about a week to call me back due to the pandemic, but they did and were about to get my refund to me. Luckily I decided to call because the advocate told me that even though it said being processed the irs wouldn't even review until 6months from now. Funds were released May 13th but now I'm waiting for it to show in my account lol it the 16th now. Very frustrating. Call you local tax advocate though. It's free and they are a wonderful help.

I am very disgusted with IRS also.  It took 6wks for me to receive my stimulus check, coming thru snail mail when I submitted Direct Deposit info numerous times, which my SSI goes thru with no problem  and unemployment benefits used to be direct also. Now cannot even get onto site to apply for PUA.  Believe websites should be fixed before we go through more stimulus. There is a multitude of us out here sinking fast .

So I have the same message when I go to the “where’s my refund” section of the irs website. I filled 1/20/20, and have had that message since around 2/14. I called the contact number ([phone number removed]) in mid February when that message first popped up and when I finally spoke with a real live person she told me that message meant I was “randomly selected” to have my return looked over to make sure the credits I claimed and whatnot were all valid. I was also told that it would take 30-60 days for that process to be completed. I’ve spoke with several close personal friends and a couple of them are in the same boat, one of them for the second year in a row. Under normal circumstances the 30-60 day window would actually apply, and even be on the short side of that timeframe. Unfortunately, with everything going on, those timeframes are no longer valid as the irs doesn’t even have live agents available for tax/stimulus questions. All we can do at this point is wait for things to open back up, and hope that our returns are pushed past the random scrutiny they’ve been subjected to.
