What does notice of proposed adjustment? I have filed using turbotax I was getting the money back. Now I owe money to state. Please advise!

Federal 2024 return has been changed. They are also saying payments I have made are less than tax I owe. Why did turbotax was showing that I getting money back?

We can’t see your return. Read the letter explaining the discrepancy and compare with your return.

The IRS may have found a mistake on your tax return.    TurboTax receives no information from the IRS after you file your return, so no one at TT knows what the IRS has changed or found incorrect on your return.   

 

 

I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS/STATE

 

 

TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.
