If your employer provided you with a W-2 form that contains incorrect information, you should first contact the employer and request a "Corrected" W-2.
My employer Information wrong as well I’m a waitress and I had been taxed all year for my tip but on my W-2 she wasn’t going to include those taxes with my income or the wages from my tips with the income so after I argued with her about it she finally corrected it and included it on my W-2 but I believe she reported it to the IRS without that information
Well initially it was my income and taxes. They had been taxes my tips all year and hadn’t reported that on my w2. So I brought it to there attention that I would like credit for the tips and taxes they withheld , and she wasn’t happy about that but she corrected it. But I hadn’t realize she already sent the first one to the irs. So I didn’t select corrected w2 when I filed oops. But I also just found out thAt she wasn’t reporting the correct wAges to unemployment either. So in the last quarter she reported one lump sum of 20000 which previous quarters were only like 1100. So that has mAde ineligible for unemployment. I sure hope they get this fixed’ they have screwed me over for money so much right now ! I have no tax refund yet and now no unemployment!
