Checked my taxes wth credit karma after I filed through turbotax. CK was goin 2 get me back $684 more jus in federal. How do I get the rest of the money owed 2 me

If you find something wrong on the Turbo Tax return you filed you can mail in an Amended return.  You cannot change or add anything on the return that you e-filed.  It is too late, just like when you put an envelope in a US mailbox

Now you have to wait until the IRS either rejects or accepts your return. If your return is rejected, you will be able to go into your account and add or change it and resend it.

If the IRS accepts your return, then you have to wait until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund.  THEN you can prepare an amended tax return 1040X and mail it in. You cannot e-file an amended return.  Meanwhile, DO NOT change anything on your return until you start the amended return.

The 1040X form for 2018 hasn't been approved yet by IRS. Please, keep checking the following information on how to amend your return; it will be updated once the 2018 form is released.  How to amend an Online return   https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3288565

Volvogirl thank you so much. I just finished going through the whole tax file process with CK and I was shocked. Yea somethin was definitely wrong with my TT filing, it was the first time I've ever filed myself. TT got me back a combined return of $1,417 dollars. CK got me back a combined return of $ 2,828 dollars. That is 6 dollars less than double. Once again thank you and I pray I get all the money back that is owed

Well do you know what you did wrong in Turbo Tax?  You can’t amend unless you know what to fix.

There is no more money owed you. CK cannot get you back more money than what you filed for. The filing with TurboTax is the the correct amount owed you. If you want to find out why CK is telling you that you can get more, contact them. I'll bet it is a scam.

Look at the two returns side by side, line by line.  You may have keyed something in differently.

I went through the process of filling a tax return as if i didnt file them yet. Federal said I got back $600+ dollars more. I filed like anyone else would file. How do I file an amendment so I can go ahead and file through them? Do I have to wait until state comes back? If Credit Karma is scamming what are some ways I can tell so I can get back the correct amount that is owed to me. I mean that is a lot of money that would be owed if it isnt a scam, correct.
