If I receive a W2C that is only correcting my HSA contributions I’m box 12 is there any chance the IRS will think I received double income because of the amendment?
I know this is dumb, please hold judgement

Yes ... it only reports the items that changed.
No ... the W-2C supersedes the original form.
If the correction only changes the box 12 , on the tax transcript would only the items that change show up or does the whole W2 show up again?
If the W-2 C only had a box 12 entry then that is the only thing on the original form that was superseded. If this didn't change anything else on your return then simply file it away with the original form and forget about it.
This is my first time with a W2C.
Is it normal to have nothing in any boxes besides the change in box 12?
Yes ... it only reports the items that changed.
Yes. If you haven't e-filed yet, just edit your original W-2 and enter the correct Box 12 amount from your W-2C.
Entering/Editing your W-2:
Thanks i saw a post on here from an " Expert" that said otherwise and it seemed quite wrong. Your response lines up with my expectations
Sometimes the issuer fills in EVERY box on the form even if nothing was changed ... it is not the correct way to do it but it happens which accounts for the other postings. Either way you would only make the changes needed in the program.
Quick question: when inputting this into TT can I just override the one box when manually typing my W2 and put the new box 12 number. I tried selecting the received a W2C but it doesn’t really do anything
After you enter the W2 and change box 12 to the correct number, the program will say "Let's Check for Uncommon Situations". Mark the box next to W-2 was corrected by my employer.
