USPS leave a note at door saying Letter to sign from IRS

Has anyone every received a thing on your door that says it’s from USPS and says IRS with the letter box checked and saying signature required? If so what was it? I’m not sure this is even legit.

The IRS frequently sends certified letters that require a signature. If you had a note left on your door, it should let you know whether the postal worker will be attempting to deliver again or if you need to take the card to your local post office to pick up the letter. Either way, nobody here can tell you what letter they sent you as they send various letters via certified mail and it could be anything
