Direct deposit rejected. Paper check would be sent. Notice on IRS site refund sent to bank??

I originally gave the wrong account number and my refund was rejected and sent back to IRS by the bank. The IRS informed me it would be 10 weeks and a paper check would be sent. Only 2 weeks in and “Where’s My Refund” states it was sent to bank for deposit on April 5th. I’m confused. Will refund go back to bank or was a paper check sent?

Unfortunately, only the IRS can answer this question.  Once you hit the "Send my return" button in TurboTax, it's in the IRS' hands.
