It’s asking me for an employer ID and I contacted my company and they said they don’t have one so I tried to get in contact with one of y’all but of course they want me to pay more. Why can’t I just put n/a? If my company doesn’t have an ID number that’s why I can’t put one.
If you are an employee and receive a W-2 then the employers EIN must be on the W-2 as required by law.
If you do not get a W-2 and are self-employed then you file a schedule C for a self employed person.
If you are an employee and not self employed then ALL (legitimate) companies must have a employer ID number. If they do not then they might be operating illegally and you need to talk with you states department of labor.
Yeah I called my employer and they said that for the United States they don’t have one because I have my w2 in my hand and I gave them a call and they said they don’t. So I have no idea..

Is there box 2 tax withheld?
Is box 4 & 6 tax withheld?

Ask your employer what they did with your withholding without a EIN.
If the employer is uncooperative then I suggest contacting the IRS that can contact the employer on your behalf (and impose fines on the employer for not complying to the tax laws).

Call the IRS. Taxpayers who are unable to get a copy from their employer by the end of February may call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 for a substitute W-2. The IRS will send a letter to the employer on taxpayers’ behalf. When they call, taxpayers need their:
I had a similar problem. There was a glitch in the software...all was good to go until after I paid and they ran one last check for state---then it doubled all my W2 and showed I owed money when I was due state and federal. Paid $130 and have been stuck in loop hole after loop hole trying to get my money back.

Most definitely. Been using TurboTax for many years, but this year it is incredibly awful in so many ways. So disgusted & appalled at how poor & pathetic this software is.
