Turbo tax took out money that was due for state taxes even though I dont want to file my state taxes with them. how d o I get that money back

Did you see this?  At the end Turbo Tax just shows you the net federal and state combined. But that is only for your info. You will still get the full refund and you need to pay a tax due. 

Your state tax due can not be deducted from a Federal refund.   Or do you mean the Turbo Tax fees for a state return?   

You have to call support and ask for Billing (not refund).
