TPG is holding funds, TT unable to be reached

All, it took 14 days for a resolution, many hours on hold (and never once reaching anyone so don’t waste your time with that), and 10 emails threatening to sue them if they don’t release my funds. The last part is still going to occur, but they’ve finally released mine.

I would suggest if you’re one of the people they’re holding funds, to email their customer service email daily with your DL and personal info (name, return expected, filing status, address, phone # is what I added.) The amount of time they stole from my life trying to get this resolved and not being able to reach a single person is absolutely criminal. 

Also, keep an eye out for class action lawsuits, since there will surely be many popping up. I never once got a response beyond an automated message saying they received my email and someone would be in touch soon. To hold our money, not notify us they’re doing so, and not give us any recourse with which to provide BS documentation that shouldn’t be needed in the first place is fraud. TPG is going to have a hell of a 2022. 

For those of you that they took way more than they should, I’d probably do the same. Blow up their email with the details, and if you can, contact an attorney.

I hope everyone has their issues with this awful company rectified soon.

I’ve contacted and talked to a wonderful representative. Of course after days and no answers. I’ll assume they’ve just been busy this week. But have gotten the information and I am pleased. Now the waiting game.   Be blessed tax payers

i filed my taxes 2/11/22 it said it was accepted by the irs 2/11/22 and said my money was released 3/4/22 but i have yet to receive my money.

Yea same happen with me says my money is on reserver as well been with turbo tax for 10 years and I need that 6 grand back I'm getting called every one last week and finally turbo tax told me it was thru them so calling them tommorw but from the looks of it u can't get ahold of any one but gusse I'll give it a shot  btw do you guys that's complaining have a turbo tax netspend card my mom got her money thru turbo tax last week but she has a bank account not a turbo tax card so wondering if it may have somethan to do with that

@Jennifer1111  can you please tell me what email you used to send your information over? Mine is still saying “unfunded” a month later. I need to know from tpg that they have or haven’t received it in this account and routing number the irs gave me. So if they haven’t, I can call the irs and say it was lost. They have to have some sort of way to track down where the money went or see that it’s just floating around and hasn’t been touched by tpg or turbo tax or given to me.

If you are trying to get in touch with TPG due to information concerning your refund disbursement, you can try using the numbers on their Help page.  Also on this page, you can send a message.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Submit a Request.

I've already submitted a tickect how about you guys get ahold of them to see what's going on you guys go thru them and those phone numbers are dumb because the auto machine just hangs up on you

I am having the same issue, I've used turbox tax for a few years with no issue, but suddenly so many people aren't getting the correct return amount. I have no federal offsets, no reason I shouldn't have gotten my correct amount, and no real solution or explanation has been put forth. I've gotten no letter, email, call, nothing. Just almost 3,000 dollars missing from my return. With not a single notice. It's ridiculous.

I thought I could be the only one with this issue. Never thought this could happen through TurboTax, been a customer for 7 years. Had the same issue with TPG I had to make payment through my refund and notice I’m short more than $1000 short. This is something that need to be corrected and have yet been able to see my full refund. I called and was told to call the IRS already did and I don’t owe them anything.

So turbo tax acknowledges that they know their is a suituation and we have yet to receive money, why cant turbo tax issue a advance or something to get us our refund. Sbtgp website for tax pros gives option for tax pros to reissue a check

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group website enter in your info it will explain what they're doing with your refund how much is expected what they took etc . See if it shows anything off like missing 2000 dollars or 4000 dollars.

So did you guys fix the issue or are people still having the issue? My money is pending in your bank for the 9th. Is everyone losing their money or did you guys fix the issue so that people who are still waiting are not going to get screwed? Because if that's the case I'm going to call the IRS and tell them not to send my money to you.

I will not be useing turbo tax starting next year you guys are responsible for are money meaning if there's a issue with tpg you guys need to fix it we trust you with are money meaning you guys have to make sure we get it which you are bot doing
