After you install the TurboTax desktop program and then start the program, the software will search for the 2017 tax data filed that are by default stored in Documents and in the TurboTax folder. The 2017 tax data files have a file extension of .tax2017. If the software cannot find the 2017 tax data file then you will need to search your hard drive for the location of the data file.
Click on the File menu at the top left of the desktop program screen. Click on Open Tax Return. Browse to the data file's location.
This worked for me!! After speaking with 2 different people from TurboTax customer support and at least 2 hours of waiting to talk with them, and getting no results. This solved the problem and I was able to access print and save all supporting worksheets and schedules.
