How many people with the Path Message have ordered both transcripts and then recieved a letter for ID verification.

If they just decided to send the letter out today then that means the code would it populate on your transcript until probably tomorrow maybe today but most likely tomorrow

But how did I get my transcripts then ? If they are just processing my return

Because if you look on the IRS website it says that as soon as they touch your return to do anything even to verify Social Security numbers or whatever as soon as they accept it they put it transcript into the computer they don't do it like they did last year where as they didn't put the return transcript in until the return was actually finished now they update the information as they go it's like they don't like the fact that we figured out a way to get an update on our return or direct deposit date without using their wmr tool they have to be sneaky and every year when we figure out something that usually change it the following year

Well if you do let me know what they say I'm afraid to call back because I don't want them to delay my return anymore I think if you get the wrong representative out of spite they can reach sequence you or send you a letter or any of that stuff that were talking about actually all of this really worries me because it makes me feel like our government is really broke right now or in some serious financial trouble

I agree this is crazy and really wrong my feelings are hurt behind this now I don't get it nothing changed on my return in 7 years and now they put me thru this the path message to me is a bad sign and ordering transcripts because I have mine nothing wrong on them

I called back and they don't want to even look up my return now I was told that it could have been a error also the rep said the process dates are the day they re process our RETURNS that could be why I haven't got any letter

Why do they need to RE-PROCESS our returns? That makes zero sense

I really believe this Path law is just  a way too give them more time to hold returns when they have no legit reason.  Im so sorry that you are being treated like that, no government business should be allowed to treat citizens this  way.  I hope we get good newst in the morning and hopefully u don't have a letter coming at all

It don't make sense I been praying all day worried I know a lot and have a friend who has inside and it doesn't make sense to either of us why send transcripts with good codes then now out of nowhere this

Maybe that rep u spoke to was wrong....they aren't the sharpest crayon in the box sometimes.   Im praying 4 ya ..maybe in the morning you'll get your DDD

I verified on the 17 th  no update on wmr so I have called twice to make sure everything was OK they say everything is good and processing I was able to order both transcripts Friday still no update on wmr just says processing

After receiving a letter to send forms 8962 and 1095A three weeks ago, mailed and they received on 02/21, I called a tax advocate and the lady said the IRS was going to send me a letter for ID verification.  it's either because I tried to order return transcripts online and it did not confirm or  because I have a new employer. My tip: stay away for trying to order transcripts on the IRS website
