TurboTax sent me the email saying my electronic stimulus submission was accepted by the IRS. I haven't had any income since 2017. Am I eligible or not? I am a single mom to a 2yo kid as well. I can't work. This is confusing. I submitted all the stimulus information that was needed on April 8th. I've already been told I should qualify for the stimulus check. I have submitted my direct deposit information for Chime as well. Could the reason the IRS get my payment site is saying that be because I just filled for the stimulus check on the 8th?

The IRS has just launched the Get My Payment web portal today 04/15/2020. The portal has received very high traffic and a lot of people are getting this message. Please be patient and try again later.
Oh okay. Well a few other tax experts on here is who told me I should qualify and be eligible. I used the stimulus tool on TurboTax for the nonfilers. I've seen a lot of articles that day I have to do that for 2018 as well as 2019. I only did 2019. Do I need to go back and do 2018?
You are eligible as long as no one has claimed you as a dependent on their tax return. But you just registered, so it will take a while before the website will be updated. You have to file a 2018 tax return if you are required to file one and without any income, you are not required to file a return. The stimulus registration was similar to filing a 2019 tax return solely for the purpose of updating your direct deposit information with the IRS. Until the IRS resumes operations, all we have is patience and their website for information which I have linked below.
Keep these links handy and keep checking.
The IRS is committed to helping you get your Economic Impact Payment as soon as possible. The payments also referred to by some as stimulus payments, are automatic for most taxpayers. No further action is needed by taxpayers who filed tax returns in 2018 and 2019 and most seniors and retirees.
See if you are eligible for an Economic Impact Payment.
If you are eligible, use our guide to figure out which IRS tool you should use to get your payment.
