Your refund status where??    Where are you seeing a date?   If you're looking in your TurboTax account or acceptance email, that provides an estimate based on averages. Go only by the IRS website.

Or are you referring to the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool that I mention below?  Was a date provided there?

You mentioned a Federal refund check.  So is your refund coming by paper check in the mail instead of an electronic direct deposit?

If you efiled, you should first double-check to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted.
If you used Online TurboTax, you can sign into your Online Account and check the efile status at the Tax Home.

If the Tax Home page showed it was accepted, you can use the "Where's My Refund" tool at the IRS website below to check on the status of your Federal refund.   NOTE:  If you only recently efiled, be sure you have waited at least 24 hours after your efiled return was "accepted" before using the IRS WMR tool.

NOTE:    Be sure to enter the correct SSN and filing status.  For the refund amount, use only the Federal refund amount, and not any total refund amount that includes a state refund.
The amount to use is on your Federal Form 1040, Line 21a.
