How can I find out when my return was recieved

If you mailed in your return, the IRS asks you wait 4 weeks before checking on the status of your return. 

You can check the status of your return on the Where' My Refund website, 

https://www.irs.gov/refunds.

How can I find out when my return was recieved

When you mail a tax return, it is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it like UPS or certified mail.  Then you will know the IRS received it. When you mail your tax return, wait about 4 weeks and then check the IRS site:
