So, I found the bank routing and account numbers from your app. I entered those numbers. Did I screw up???
By "your app", I'm assuming you mean the Turbo Card. The Turbo Card is owned by Green Dot, not TurboTax; the "branding" of the name Turbo is just a contractual deal between the two for the card that your refund is deposited on. TurboTax has nothing to do with your stimulus at this point.
All of that said, your Turbo Card information will work just fine for direct deposit; it's a valid Green Dot prepaid account just like any other that you'd buy at Walmart or elsewhere.
Well hopefully it works, mine was supposed to be deposited on the 15th and nothing...my paycheck is still going in fine though so i wonder wtf is going on.
Did you check your previous year's TT card (or any other account you may have used for 2018), as @Smashboxx suggested?
When I type my info in it says not enough information and when I add the DD it say doesn't match what we have on file
Yea ive had the same card since then, has my last 4 of account number from card so there shouldnt be a problem.
What did the Turbo Card (GreenDot) support say? They are the ones that can see if there are any pending deposits on the card. If they still see nothing, there's nothing else you can do but wait, since the IRS doesn't have any live associates available. Hopefully the IRS tool is just wrong, and you'll either get your deposit in the next wave or receive a check.
Same here never got any where with intuit, they are not loading IRS DD on the cards they sent us, its been a week for me, and I got evicted from my apartment, now living in my truck. Thanks intuit!!!
On the 15th when everyone was receiving their stimulus payments on their TT cards, I recieved my tax return on mine. Then on Friday I recieved an email from TurboTax saying the irs had my DD information and I would recieve my stimulus check on my TT card and their was nothing else I should do. I have been stressing soo bad since the 17th reading all these comments. After being locked out of "get my payment" for 3 days I finally waited 24 hours (again) and realized I was putting my zip code in wrong. I needed to put in my 5 digit zip code PLUS the (-####) after. I finally got through about an hour ago and it says my DD date is the 22nd. And my account # matched my TT card account #. BTW I filed my taxes using TT free, no RAL or payment taken out of my taxes. Hope this helps some people!
I can understand your frustration, but understand that Intuit has absolutely nothing to do with the stimulus payment. Nothing at all. The stimulus payment is sent directly from the IRS to bank accounts; there WAS a "glitch" (as the IRS states) that resulted in the correct account/routing numbers for a large numbers of Turbo Tax, H&R Block, and Jackson Hewitt users not being recorded in their system, most of those users seeming to be those who chose to have fees and/or an RAL directly deducted from their refund. This likely had to do with some problem in the way the refunds that were sent to Santa Barbara Tax (who handled these deductions) were processed by the IRS. Regardless, from the moment your tax return was sent to the IRS, Intuit has played no further part. The "Turbo Card" is owned and administrated by Green Dot Bank, who also owns the aforementioned Santa Barbara Tax.
Have you used the "Get My Payment" tool on the IRS site to see if they have your information and/or a payment was/has been scheduled? If so, what did it say?
When I checked my status they asked me for my direct deposit info again. Well just like others I used turbo tax and have already received my taxes back on the turbo card. Well. When they asked for my direct deposit info again I put in the routing number and account number to my turbo card that I got my taxes back on. So I checked a few days later and it wouldn't give me a reason but they said they were sending me a paper check in the mail to the address on my tax forms. I don't understand why Im not getting it back on my turbo tax card, instead im getting it in the mail. And it won't even b sent out till the 24th. I just don't understand.
I have the Turbo debit/greendot card; I have checked with the IRS site and this is what response that I get. No date listed yet, however, the info matches the account number for my account - it's NOT the same as the card number. I hope this helps.
If you login to your Turbo Card account where you check your balance you can scroll to the bottom of the home page and it lists the Turbo Cards bank routing numbers. Those are what the IRS should have.
Maybe the original poster was referring to the Turbo Card not Turbo Tax? All this is stressful and confusing. Starting to feel like a rabbit chasing a carrot.
Has anyone in NC gotten the stimulus check on TT card yet? I know plenty of people who filed to Turbo and put in a different account other then TT card and gotten theirs last week. My status still has not changed to give a date since updating on Wednesday. I guess I will see on Friday...
