I also re-filed with taxact, was accepted within a min of transmitting and am already showing on WMR.
Thanks for all the info everyone! Seems like it's definitely a TT problem. Is there TT reps that monitor these posts that can create a issue report or something? Seems odd none of us can get any information when calling support and nothing happens other than wait and see. We should definitely have a IRS response by now.
I may have try that but I accidentally bought the max package on TurboTax. I reached out seconds after it purchased for a pro rated refund and they pretty much said pound sand.
Filed and purchased on my phone app. I loaded the max on my pc to see pricing but it didn’t sync with the app cart. My Apple Pay said $78 but when it processed it changed to $119.
I tried refiling with TaxAct and it gives me a much lower refund amount than TT.
Now I am at the mercy of TT resolving this! So frustrated.
I called TT and their customer service reps are SO clueless and not helpful at all.
I’m in the same situation. I filed a few minutes after 5695 went live with rollover credits and no new ones for 2023. I’ve been stuck on Pending.. my tax situation is Married, joint return, 2 dependents and self employed/1099 in Tx.
Save for me as well. Hopefully, TT resolves this issue immediately
I just filed mine with TaxAct as well and it was accepted almost immediately. WMR is also updated to received. I’m getting the exact same amount back from Tax Act as I was with TT. Also their fee was 11.00 cheaper than TT. Asking for a refund with TT but not sure where that will get me. Clearly an issue with TT!!!
I’m on the phone with an agent now. He’s waiting on a response from his “work chat” to see if any other agents have had calls from us about this becasue he’s not seeing a lot of documentation on his end of complaints. I’m reading him comments from this threat and he said “yeah, that seems like a TT issue and doesn’t look good for us losing business when they file elsewhere.” If you have time, call them and make your complaint heard and documented. Not sure what this guy can do to help but he is making his people aware. Also, I asked if he could pull my return and re-submit and he said as far as he knows he cannot… I’ll update if anything else useful happens
Let me know if you get a refund. Disappointing. The rep I spoke with wasn’t any help. He claimed it was accepted but I didn’t get any emails or show up on the IRS tracker.
The reps are clueless!! The gal who helped me had a baby crying in the background and a chirping smoke detector. I wanted to tell her to change the battery.
The rep I had was named Ralph. He was extremely condescending and demeaning. Acting like I had no idea what I was talking about.
😳 Oh wow. I’ve been on the phone for an hour with David..I think. He said his coworkers heard that form 5695 may not be final on their end and it’s still being worked on behind the scenes which would explain why we haven’t been accepted!
@HollyMarie154 That's wild. Hopefully they resolve this ASAP.
I MAY have found the problem. Somebody on Reddit said they called TT and found that questions on 5695 weren’t answered even though it let them submit. Go back to your return, click “add state” and then click federal. It will tell you it needs review and show missing answers then save everything all over again. I had errors that I fixed. Hopefully will get accepted today.
@HollyMarie154 Thanks for the heads up. I went back into Federal and that address bit popped up as an error for me as well. I adjusted it. Not sure how that portion will submit, but it was worth a shot. Let me know if there is any progress on your end and I'll do the same. 🤞
