Still after going back and forth for 15 months in waiting on my money. I submitted my taxes in January last year before they where being accepted. You offered an advance if I signed up with credit karma money, I did for 200. The day you funded the account I transferred the money out and you closed the account due to in activity. The next day I contacted you and because you said I transferred the money out the account wouldn't be closed and the debit I was to receive would work. On February 5th while I was in contact and still arguing with you about closing my account I received the debit card from credit Karma money and my federal taxes where deposited into the account you closed. The new Debit card would not work because you closed the account. I contacted you again and was told sorry there is nothing that could be done at that time they will escalated to an advanced team to help me with my issue. For the next month of continuing to contact you I was told the account is closed the money was turned back to the IRS to contact them. They said the money was deposited into the account and then moved out of the account from what they could see. Over 3 months later of being told my issue has been escalated, I was finally told to send in a picture of my driver's license and a bill, I did that. Then was told you supposedly sent the check to a address I didn't have listed on the money account because that's not where I lived for over a year before I opened it and you had sent the debit card to the correct address. I have been in contact every single week trying to solve this and still the best answer I have is from last July. When someone said my money was most likely being held and because of how long it has been unclaimed for. Now that infuriated me and at this time I can understand why the only way you will allow anyone to contact you is through that stupid chat box or email. Because either every single person you have working is an incompetent fool. Or your just out ripping people off. Still my money hasn't went back to the IRS, so it's there being used in the banking system in high interest holdings for you to make even more from. If I had owed you money I'd be charged a monthly interest rate that would be compounding. Well the last year it's held around 12.36% so if you figure my small amount of 650 or so for the last 15 months...... It brings that total to somewhere in the ballpark of $3500-$3700 that you should be paying me at this time. I need to find a couple of people who this has happened with and I'm in the process of learning enough about this to file and then find someone who can help me bring a suite against you because this is absolute disregard lack of ethics integrity, especially for something that claims they do business with the government but y'all are holding and preventing people from getting money that they are entitled to. I can't even get the status of my money or anything from anyone nor am I able to actually speak to somebody on the phone I'm stuck leaving messages on message boards and chat rooms in order to get somebody to contact me saying my situation has been escalated. And just about every single case number I've ever had has been closed out within 24 hours of me getting the email with the case number.
Of anyone has anything they may be able to help with fell free to email me at [email address removed]

If the federal tax refund was sent to a closed account, the bank would be required to send that refund back to the IRS. The IRS will then mail the tax refund as a check to the address you entered on your tax return.
If you no longer live at the address you entered on the tax return, the check is sent back to the IRS.
You will need to contact the IRS concerning a lost refund check. Go to this IRS website for information on how to report a lost check - https://www.irs.gov/faqs/irs-procedures/refund-inquiries/refund-inquiries-0
They aren't required to send it back as I've been informed from the IRS. Because I signed into the agreement with them for the refund it allows them to accept the funds and hold them till they are claimed which is one reason this is still in limbo. I been able to actually talk with people through the IRS many times during this hoping it was sent back because according to the IRS they will only accept the amount they sent out not a portion of it back because there isn't a garnishment upon what was refunded to me at that time. According to even the documents for Intuit TurboTax and credit Karma, being they are owned and operated by the same company, the fact I accepted the advance allows you to actually seize my money and hold it until they deem I've identified myself stringently enough, which I've sent more than the IRS and and government requires. But because it's all done through messages and bounced around, it doesn't get solved because I'm just a number and you forgot about who you've even talked or "helped" 30 minutes from then.
Just like everything else this will be deleted like every other message I've posted both on credit Karma, and I'm here on this side too. But at least this one I now have a response to help show it's been up and responded to.
