I got the same and the IRS lady said I would get a partial refund but letter for rest. I have filed same EIC for my 3 kids for 17 yrs now. Not sure what can be the issue

Got the same 151 tax topic and reference number call irs and said i need to wait for a letter which it will say what is exactly the issue   do y'all received a letter yet? Should i contac a tax advocate?

What type of items do you need to show "proof"? I got the same Topic 151 ref 1242 after claiming my daughter and nephew....i have all the paperwork for my daughter but I don't have anything for my nephew.  @mike202525

Light bill school records showing u as the legal guardian lease with you and them on it day care

The proof that was needed included; school records, medical records, daycare records, church records or anything that shows that the child was under your care.
