I will not file electronically because TX will not accept the zip code of DEFAS. I do not want my credit card charged. This has been very frustrating. Left a message and no responce from TX. CS is non existant I am begining to believe. My filing is simple and will now consider moveing away from TX in 2024.

To request a refund from TT ; https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/forms/refund-request.jsp
Is this what you entered for the address -
Address: Defense Finance and Accounting Service, U.S. Military Retired Pay, 8899 E. 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46249-1200.
That is the address automatically transfered in to TX. The review was conducted against the zip and was rejected.
Delete the form that was entered and re-enter the form manually.
What form should be deleted.
I am entering NV 89052 at Review's insistence. No luck it just repeats. My correct address on the entry form. Don't tell me this isn't a bug in TT 2024
I want to file not get my money back
How frustrating
If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies, and return to the 1099-R entry in the Income section, under Retirement Plans and Social Security.
On the 1099-R Summary page, you can choose to Edit your DFAS entry, or Delete it and re-enter it. You're entering the Address of the Payor on your form, not your address.
Here's what happened. I hope it will help other unfortunates. I deleted the 1099R and re-entered it. I went to "file federal". 1 keystroke from conclusion TT said it needed new info. YES, back to recipient's zip code followed by State, both of which were unacceptable as shown. I changed the zip (in review) to the 9 digit version. Review then demanded the State entry in accepted format. On a hunch I entered NV without pressing shift ie lower case. WHAMBO it entered capitals and TT accepted it.
This happened minutes ago so I don't know if IRS accepted it but TT confirmed transmission.
Note I did not clear the cache. Just these 2 entries were demanded, down from TINs and RMDs previously. I did note that when I entered NV as upper case ie while pressing "shift" it was minutely off center in the tiny box. Without "shift" NV was upper case and central.
Do they teach this in software school?
Wanted to give you cred for your answer but I don't see a thumbs up icon. And let me re-iterate TT wanted MY address info (recipient)
