I filed my 2021 taxes by mail in January 2023 due to a custody battel. I had originally tried to e-file last year but they were rejected because the other parent claimed them when they weren't supposed to. I just tried to file my 2022 taxes and it gave me an IND-032-04 - 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' in the Return Header must match the e-File database. error code. My question is do I have to wait for the 2021 taxes to be processed before I can file 2022.

No. Try entering zero for the AGI. The IRS took a long time last year to process 2021 returns so the AGI didn't get entered in time. Especially if you mailed it. That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
