The IRS has stated that the typical time to process a tax return is 21 days, but there may be delays for many reasons.
TurboTax can only project the time to get your refund. The IRS has the real control.

just got the money this morning!
Yes it is normal. The IRS works at its own pace. There are multiple reasons for your taxes to be delayed.
Once it leaves our hands, the IRS won't tell TurboTax anything about the status of your return. You should direct your question to the IRS.

Any luck with getting an approval ?
I saw someone said to look at notifications on the general profile. They needed more information. And I also had to verify my identity. I’m not sure how long that’s been there but I received a letter in the email in order to do so. Hopefully now they will quickly approve the refund and send it. Anyone who verified their identity—how quickly did they approve the refund afterwards?
Me to, I got the letter the 27 about me logging to verify my Identity. Like dam, they couldn't just send an email out... so hopefully we be in the next round of deposits.
I also filed January 27th and it was approved January 29th and it's now February 28th and still not approved.
@Harrislala1 "Accepted" and a"approved" are not the same thing. TurboTax only tells you that the return was accepted. Approval can only come from the IRS.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I’m going through the same thing how did your situation turn out?
Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund.
Here are a couple FAQs to track your refund:

How do I track my state refund?
Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?
Mine was Jan 22. I still am in limbo. I swear to God mine showed approved yesterday. I was elated. I checked today and it's back to accepted. Whhhhhaaaaat are they doing????
Saying what is happening to your return at the IRS would be speculation. All you can do now is, wait. At least you know that the IRS has your filing. It does not matter who sent your form to them. That is the sole destination for federal tax returns. No one has discovered a way to make any tax agency speed up working on or sending out refunds. No one ever will because they are an overwhelmed, over worked, under funded and under staffed government bureaucracy. Eventually you will get the pay off of your no interest loan to the government. 21 days is just an educated/informed guess which should not be relied on.

Mine was accepted the 12th of February and still nothing..no movement. An IRS agent said there my be up to a 10 week wait to process. I have never had a situation like this.
I filed 1/22, mine just got approved 3/21. Get it 27th. Ugh
