I have a refund offset. I called the offset hotline, and it said that I owe Illinois state taxes in the amount of $183, and it was taken out of my February 9th payment. On WMR, it is saying my refund is approved for direct deposit. Following a long message about the offset. I have no immediate date as to when I should get my taxes, unlike the previous years. However, it states that I should call if I don’t receive my refund by February 14. It’s confusing because the offset says I paid Illinois state taxes with my February 9th federal Refund payment. But, WMR states call if I don’t receive my refund by the 14th. Will the offset delay my refund? Will I see the refund in my account on the 9th?

No one at TurboTax knows. Only the IRS is in control of your federal refund. TurboTax never knows about offsets to your refund. You will have to keep tracking it on the IRS site. If you are not sure about the offset paying the state, you can contact the state after you receive your refund from the IRS.
If your federal refund was bigger than $183 then you will receive the difference. If the offset message says your Illinois tax was paid on February 9 it means $183 of your refund was sent to the Illinois Department of Revenue.
You can call Illinois to confirm at 1 800 732-8866 or 217 782-3336. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Our TDD (telecommunication device for the deaf) number is 1 800 544-5304.
Thank you. Yes, my refund is bigger than the $183. Do you know if I will get the remaining amount of the refund on the date of February 9th? I heard offsets typically don't cause delays

It depends @TB2022. The IRS is still being impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. I would just keep checking Where's My Refund? for the latest status. Most times it is accurate, though I've had some clients where the IRS would keep moving back their refund date.
Im trying to mail my taxes and It states on the paper work that I am not getting a state refund when I know I am, I guess it states on the state tax form that that to figure out your refund subtract line 50 for 51 or something like that but those lines are blank on the tax form, so refund is not listed, but line 49 is filled out.
I'm trying to mail my taxes it says that I am not receiving a refund but i know I am Turbo Tax told me. However on the document many lines are blank like line 50 and 51 and you need to do calculation with thesenumbers to figure out refund, however these lines are blank on state form , so there is no number in refund line. This is an amended return
Thank you
Clarification...Which document? Who are you trying to mail your taxes to? Who is saying you are not getting a refund?
