It will remain in a Pending state until the IRS opens up their servers to accept e-filed tax returns.

You will have to wait for the IRS to start accepting or rejecting 2020 tax returns on February 12, 2021
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions

Filed Fwb.12 2021 excepted Feb 13 2021 sat in received 21 days and now has sat 26 days in processing, we e filed and should have had refund by now
Filed 3/13/2021
It says accepted on turbo tax when log in
heard IRS is bankrupt
will we be getting refunds 2021
Amazingly enough, the IRS is not bankrupt yet. You should still receive your refund at one point. Please continue to check your status here: TurboTax and IRS
Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.
If you e-filed your return before February 12, it'll stay in Pending status until the IRS starts processing the backlog of returns.
After that, e-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 24–48 hours before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes state returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer.
Keep calm and check back
Until your state or the IRS processes your return, you may hear there's "no record found." That actually means the return's still being processed. Just check back in a few days.
