Why can't I add expenses to my 2023 amended tax return?

Small business expenses, when I click add expenses it just refreshes the page… it’s weird

There is not an expected fix date as of yet.  There is an open investigation on the issue currently.  When a fixed date is determined there will be an update released.

as i seem to be more competent than turbo tax customer service. i know the problem but no solution. 

the issue is, when you filed last year (or the year of issue) you didnt have a high enough package that allows business expenses. say you have basic and only premium lets you add expenses, you cannot amend to add expenses bc you didnt have premium in the first place. 

i am having the same issue. it wont let me upgrade to be able to amend.

There is an active investigation going on with not being able to add business expenses in TurboTax online.  Upgrading your software should be available in the amendment process but is not being made to individuals wanting to add business expenses.  A fix is being worked on to allow this option.  An updated will be provided when the problem is corrected.

you have to buy the 2023 premium desktop software and amend. you cant upgrade a previous year to make the amend so you have to buy it.
