With all the mixed information most of us don't know what to believe.Turbo tax says 21 days to deposit....IRS say "nope" So,with this  "Tax Topic 152" is this not something TT knew of prior to us filing, because I would think they would have made that a disclaimer or an acknowledgement when/before you filed.Like as soon as you claimed the tax credit it should have a pop up saying "we noticed you have XXXXXX situation, this will cause delays, click ok to acknowledge and continue..

Please see the below link.  You can track your refund, and it also provides information on various topics like refund delays.

I love how everyone is having this issue or the same thing on their where’s my refund site but no one even has answer at all .... so annoying and we know what the physical words mean but when it has never happened before we want to know if there is a reason why some one would have this on there refund page... we know turbo tax doesn’t have control but the fact no one has a clear answer baffles me I have a simple tax return no EIC or child tax credit I only have my student loans and have had the same return the last 5 years and never had an issue before so why now.. it can’t be that difficult I usually have my return within. A week of being received. By the way today is Feb. 13 2020 and my return was received 1/21 even though I understand that they will not start processing until 1/27/20. When I check WMR on 2/9 /20 I had the message saying still processing and date will be updated when available so still waiting. 1/21/ til today is is 23 days and from 2/27 to today is 17 so I will wait another 4 days and if I don’t see a change idk what I will do.

Was it processed? What happened?

I am in the exact same boat. Accepted 3/19 and currently "still processing"

I tried calling the IRS but there are no representatives available (prob due to Covid-19).

Try not to worry. I was so worried but I let go and let God. You're going to get it.

I'm absolutely 100% certain that God doesn't do or release your tax returns. I do know know that returns haven't been processed because there isn't any IRS workers in their offices until further notice due to Covid-19.  And it's in the details on their website...vaguely because I've been searching for an answer and waiting on my returns since the end of February. Returns for those who have E-filed. Paper returns probably won't be getting anything back this year at all....I'm a glass half full person, but the easy it's being ignored by Gov, and media I wouldn't be surprised if none who's still waiting don't get returns this year...I hope im wrong

Where is that date from?   We don't know what you are looking at and where you're getting the date.  If it's from Turbotax and says "estimated", then that's all it is--an estimate.    Go by any information you get at the IRS WMR tool that I mention below.

The IRS says 9 out of 10 filers who efile and choose direct deposit will get their Federal refunds within 21 days. Some returns are processed fairly quickly, while others require additional processing due to specific items in the return. Some are pulled at random for more thorough investigation.  And at this time of year (February) some filers will have delays due to the PATH Act that I mention at the bottom of this posting.

Did you efile, or did you choose to print and mail the return?  If you filed by mail, it can take about 6 weeks to get a Federal refund.

If you efiled, double-check to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted.
If you used Online TurboTax, you can sign into your Online Account and check the efile status at the Tax Home.

If that showed it was accepted, you can use the tool at the IRS website below to monitor the status of your Federal refund.   What does it show?
https://www.irs.gov/Refunds

NOTE: When using that tool, use only the Federal refund amount, and not any total refund amount that includes a state refund.
The amount to use is on your Federal Form 1040, Line 21a.

NOTE: By law (the PATH Act), the IRS will not begin issuing refunds on tax returns claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) until after February 15. So filers with those credits likely won't get their refunds until late February, or in some cases, early March.

The dates provided by TurboTax are estimates only.

Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.

If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
