I have talked to the IRS about me having the delay message since 1/25 and they said there is no problem they are back logged and that message means it could be either due to being passed 21 days or it's an adjustment of the return she told me probably because of my son that was born in 2021 but was not sure still !!!! But she said there will be a big update after March 21 so keep an eye out on WMR most big update is on Saturday mornings so basically we just have to wait untill they can do there job and process remember they are low staff and doing there best to get ever ones return

Transcript said March 2nd for refund with a notice I am supposed to receive March 7th above that refund issued Line. They took $400 off my return saying my schedule8812 was wrong but not sure how that is possible. I feel this is a turbo tax calculation error because I did everything too a T every dollar of every notice so just not possible!!! But still yes I have a ddd of tomorrow...

I had the same issue. I think turbo tax needs to look at their software. If I did everything correct. Why is the IRS adjusting my refund? Turbo tax seems to be the main culprit for this.

TurboTax calculates the amount of your refund, or additional taxes owed based on the information that you entered into the program. When the IRS and/or your state receives the returns, they compare what is on the return to what they have in their system for you.

When they make adjustments to your return it is to account for the difference in what was reported on the return and what they are showing in their system.

You can call the IRS and speak to a tax representative about what was changed on the return and why.

So, I filed on 1/18 and got accepted on 1/24. I’ve had that error message for 3 weeks now, and have finally gotten some action on my transcript on Saturday that says that a notice was sent and “further action pending”, along with a revised refund amount. I assume this was because I accidentally answered “no” to receiving one of the stimulus payments (I couldn’t remember if I ever got the second one). I also finally got to actually speak to someone at the IRS yesterday who explained to me that it was, in fact, what had happened. It was a simple error that they fixed and that there was nothing further I needed to do. The nice young man also stated that they made the revision on 2/15 and that it should take 3 weeks from the 15th to finish processing my refund. I hope this gives others as much hope as it gave me. Fingers crossed we all get our money soon

I filed on Jan 26th, got accepted the same day. I got the delayed message on feb 14th and it has not changed since then! There’s nothing on my transcript I can’t get a hold of anyone at irs even when I call right when they open I’m so frustrated so many people I know have got theirs

I understand what you are saying but the information I put into the system was accurate so no I do believe it is an error in the software and when I receive my letter will be in contact because my refund is 100% guaranteed by what your website says and I had to pay for the deluxe which I did not have to last year so it cost me almost $200 to file this year and will probably be my last if they do not hold up to there honor of guaranteed. I gave all correct info turbotax needs to verify there software with the IRS it is not us. But thank you for your response it is not you it is turbotax

I can not believe the expert is trying to say it is us still...ummm no that is them trying to get out of the 100% guarantee they offer but I will be calling the minute all the information gets to me that is for sure after I had to pay $200 this year and your software is not right please give us a break it is not us putting in wrong info it is bad calculation on their part!!!

My direct deposit suppose to hit on March 2 which is tomorrow. The reason I received the message “ we apologize but your return has been delayed “ is because when filing my taxes it asked me if I received a third stimulus check and I selected no and it boosted my refund. But I did receive a third stimulus check way last year and I totally forgot about it. So my taxes had to be corrected, which made it way less than before. I guess something is better than nothing. But thats why they delayed mine because my refund amount wasn’t correct.

Yes mine is still in delay but they did tell me it's for an adjustment because I had a new baby and they have to update him in the system so long wait but better to be able to get that credit for him 🤩

That message was showing right up till Monday then it showed the bar again and said ur deposit instead of the $4,227 since the defile company I used screwed up on what I got for the stimuli it out $2,800 instead of the $1,400 which is the 3rd stimulus. So anyway it said deposit $2,827 by 3/7/22 however it was in my act yesterday. So now I can do amendment for the $1, 800 I never received even though my 2019 and 2020 taxes were filed on time. I filed on 1/31/22

I believe I got the delayed message due to me having a baby in 2021. I checked  my transcript and it give me the minus and the amount I was giving when I filled then where it says As of: a date that says 3/21. Does that mean I’ll get my refund by that date?
