What can cause this message? My return was due on on the 16th and I got this message on the 13th. Is there a problem with my return or are they just taking longer to process the returns?
The IRS issues most refunds from e-filed returns in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. The IRS issues refunds, not TurboTax. This means that we can't say for sure why you haven’t received your refund if it's been longer than 21 days since you e-filed. You'll have to speak directly to IRS to find out more about the delay. When will I get my IRS tax refund?
This is in the IRS website
When I check my transcript on the irs website it says it hasn’t been processed yet. I filed on Jan 26th and got accepted on the 27th
Oooh so you click on account transcript?
As the returns are processed, whether filed electronically or on paper, it may be delayed because it has a mistake including errors concerning the Recovery Rebate Credit, is missing information, or other something else. For more information please visit the link below and click the plus sign next to Filed a Tax Return.
Unfortunately when you call the IRS to find out why u have a delay because most of these do mot say anything is wrong just a delay.... You get a message saying to high a call volume calm back tomorrow and hangs up.this is every IRS number but specifically they 1040 number
More then likely no. A lot of people are getting this 2 or 4 days prior to the 21st. It is because there are more then .Just the computer processing it. Id there is something that is wrong you will get a letter in the mail saying why
i’ve had this message for 2 weeks now, going on 3 :( there’s no update on my transrpt of them even receiving my return yet either
@Madden4402 what message did you get? You didn’t show it or say what it was??
Got this message today too. My return will have been filed for 21 days 3 days from now.
hopefully we won’t be stuck in processing hell.
here’s my experience for 2021. IRS requested a copy of a w-2 in march 2021. Promptly replied. Return was processed and refunded in Jan 2022. A full 11 months later.
for those of you hoping get my transcript will give you more information, here’s my fyi.
the IRS has 2 systems. Get my transcript visible to regular user will only see updates after full IRS processing and refunds are approved. any other information is only available to irs agents accessing another system.
you will only see updates to account transcript if 1) a new notice is issued. 2) your return is fully processed and approved.
until then, you will be in transcript forever unupdated land.
good luck to all!
