I incorrectly selected the option that someone can be claim me and my spouse as dependent but not claimed as dependent for 2019 in the turbotax stimulus portal. Note that I have not filed taxes for 2019 or 2018. Will I be eligible for stimulus check since I mentioned as I can be claimed as dependents. We was claimed as dependents in 2018 as elderly parents but not in 2019. Should I amend to make sure I state that I cannot be claimed as dependents to receive stimulus checks? Can this amendment be done online or through paper filing only?

If you are (or were) not eligible to be claimed as a dependent on another taxpayers tax return, you can amend your return to change that.
Amended returns can be prepared online, but cannot be e-filed. IRS does not accept e-filed amended returns. To see if you were eligible to be claimed as a dependent, please see this link: Who can be claimed as a dependent?
To Amend your return in Turbo Tax Online follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your Turbo Tax Account
2. Scroll down to Your tax returns and documents and select Amend (change) 2019 return, then Amend using Turbo Tax Online.
3. Select the reason you are amending and Continue
4. Answer the questions about your Federal return, then begin amending your State return when it says "Lets get started on your state taxes...."
To Amend your return in Turbo Tax Desktop;
1. Open your tax file you need to amend and select Online and Check for Updates.
2. Go to the Federal Taxes tab (or the Personal Tab, if you are using Home & Business) and select the Other Tax Situations Tab.
3. Scroll down to Other Tax Forms and Select Start next to Amend a return.
4. Answer the appropriate questions for the State and Federal Returns.
Thanks. I'm SSI recipient due to old age. So will I still receive my payment regardless of this option or should I still amend the form to indicate I cannot be claimed as dependents. Note that no one has claimed me as dependent in 2019 and I had selected No for the option that said Has this person claimed me as dependent in 2019. Please advise.
You should still amend your return.
If you are on Social Security income, but have it noted that you can be claimed as a dependent by someone else, you will not be eligible for the stimulus payment.
Amendments might take long time as I need to mail it. Is there a way to cancel the one I submitted via TurboTax stimulus option? This will help me submit new one using IRS website - 'Non filers Enter Payment option'. When I try this option, it says I've already submitted to IRS.
I checked on my 2019 filed return that I was claimed as a dependent on 2018 filings, I saw not. I filed a 2018 Tax Return, but I did not receive 1st or 2nd stimulus checks. How can I change my 2019 filing to state I was not claimed as a dependent to receive first and second stimulus checks?
The payments were an advance credit for 2020. 2019 information was used in sending out the payments since 2020 tax returns had not been filed at the point the stimulus payments were sent out. They are being reconciled when you do your 2020 return.
Have you filed your 2020 return yet?
