The irs accepted my tax return. It was showing on the where’s my refund app. Now when I check, it says information doesn’t match. Although I entered it correctly. Why?

This is normal. The IRS just started processing tax returns today. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update.  Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. There's no way of knowing exactly when the IRS will update as TurboTax does not have access to any information regarding your tax refund once it has been submitted and accepted by the IRS and state department. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status.

What was the outcome for this? Because mine is doing the same! Just yesterday it showed the bars and worked and now it’s saying that my info doesn’t match!

I understand that it takes a while to initially show. But mine showed processing for 3 days and then all the sudden it started telling me my info was incorrect. That’s why I’m confused

Once your return has been accepted (received) by the government, they take over the refund status update duties, since they hold the "purse strings".  You will need to contact the IRS, for further assistance, How do I contact the Internal Revenue Service (IRS...
