Tax filing pending after 48 hrs, with form 5695

No movement over here since the acceptance on 2/11! "Still processing". FRUSTRATING!!!! It has never taken this long.

I’m seeing the estimated refund date on TurboTax main dashboard page where you see the date that you filed your taxes. Honestly, I don’t think it means much since it just an estimated date TurboTax provides and has no correlation to the IRS processing time frames. I was just curious if anybody had movement with their federal returns being approved by the IRS.

Wow 😯 that’s really disappointing to hear since I filed my taxes on February 14th so if you file yours on the 11th then there’s no hope for me to get my refund approved and deposited by the March 4th. This is extremely disappointing… I wonder what’s going on with the IRS this year. Did they have some layoffs or something…in the past they have never taken this long. Wish IRS will provide some answers as to what’s going on with their processing timeframes.

@DisneyDad I've been keeping my eye on the IRS threads in Reddit. A lot of users are stating that they are required to complete some IRS verification process that involves some sort of letter that is sent via snail mail (USPS). What a pain! Have you logged into your IRS id.me account to see if you have any pending notifications?

I filed on 2/12. Got my refund yesterday. State and Fed.

The good news is yes I am ID.me verified with the IRS since early last year when I needed to pull up some records for a mortgage application. I also have opted to receive all notifications via email.

I have been keeping an eye on my IRS notifications and have yet to see anything in regards to needing to verify my identity but will keep you posted if anything comes up.

I just checked the Reddit forums your referencing and I’m seeing it could take several weeks to process your refund if the IRS requires identification documents which I hope is not the case…

I filled finally on 2/12 after the energy credit fiasco. Nothing “approved” on irs tracker yet.

@DisneyDad I’ll do the same. I’m very annoyed this year with taxes in general. Never had to wait this long and then on top of the issue with turbo.

@DisneyDad My 2023 transcripts were completed overnight and now shows a refund date of March 6th. WRM has not been updated yet and is reflecting "still processing".

A little glimmer of hope this morning - right before my birthday.

I got mine filed and accepted on Feb 12th and I got my state almost 2 weeks ago but fed is still in a pending status no movement.
