Santa Barbara Tax Products Group- Holding Tax Refund and Will not respond

Part of what the IRS said I was going to get . I was supposed to get 830 but the IRS was only going to send me 700 and only got 222.59.

It’s sept and I still haven’t received my federal taxes saying it’s in the error department and I filed through free tax USA and they act like I’m speaking in Chinese (No Racial comment to those that feel disrespected in my comment) but it’s like I’m speaking in Chinese to he told my money is in the error department so why isn’t the error fixed man this is ridiculous I’ve lost almost everything close to me this year family, Landlord sold the unit me and my family was renting had to separate due to a man never sleeping at in laws house  , car broke down 1 week After I moved , grandmas home was sold and even my motivation because I’m all I have I have no support system I’m only 27 and I’ve been through enough can I please get some help this is too much plus my back ground ain’t the best so I’m trying to start some where with. My life

@Bossneem009  Trust me, I feel ya frustration. I’ve been waiting since 2/24/22. By July I finally took the legal steps necessary to obtain my check because these ppl must be smoking C****, if they think they’re gonna keep my hard earned working money. Absolutely NOT! Contact the FDIC, they’ll probably refer you to the Federal reserve depending on your circumstances. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT wait for these ppl to send you your funds you’ll be waiting forever. Also, reach out to the attorney general’s office in California. Good luck! You and I both need it. 👍🏾

Unbelievable! The same exact thing has happened to me.   I tried everything, turbo tax and TPG are holding over $1500. Of my refund for 2021 Federal Tax return.  What else can I do? Do you have a number for TPG?

I’ve yet to receive any of my refund beside my small state taxes. I need the money. Tried contacting several times and nothing I mailed my taxes on time. It’s now almost November. I’ll no longer be using turbo tax this is by far ridiculous.

The IRS is taking anywhere from 6 to 10 months to process a mailed 2021 tax return.

What is the status of the tax refund on the IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

if you don't receieve your refunds contact the proper authorities with documentation that you never receive your funds after waiting several months.

That is Extremely concerning and scary, because I have not received my return yet either and it's doing on now 4months!! I filed on July 29th I believe.. it's now November 23rd?!! Wow yeah 4months and I thought I was exaggerating.. my tax return for federal hit my account almost right away but my state the larger of the 2 hasn't come yet.. the irs website says it's still being processed but the turbo tax website already has the printable version of the tax return... so what the hell?!

1) the IRS is federal, you in one place you state you received the refund and in another you state it is still processing.

which is it? 

if the IRS says it is still being processed, did you check your transcript to see if there are any clues on what the issue is? 

Turbo Tax does not receive ANY information about the status of your tax return at the IRS.  That is confidential information that the IRS only shares with you - and not Turbo tax.  So the tax return you see on Turbo tax is simply what you prepared and submitted.

I havent received my 2022 tax refund which was filed more than 10 months ago. The IRS processed and funded my refund and somehow my bank returned it. Over the course of 10 months I’ve filed Form 3911 with two different IRS agents. Completed Indemnity Bond forms for TPG with notary. TPG took 6 months to return the funds to the IRS and gave me a Green DOT yet the IRS still hasn’t received any funds from them what so ever. The IRS has submitted the case to BFS for an investigation. At years end “2022” TPG website no longer shows my refund on the site. TPG stated they’ve mailed a refund check which was never received. Website stated funds were direct deposited which my account shows it was rejected and sent back to TPG. Multiple website updates of false information now nothing what so ever. No to mention the hours of waiting on hold to speak to some incompetent agent with no answers.

I’m confused. So you finally received it or you’re telling your current status about your refund and where it stands? If you haven’t received it, it’s because you’ve allowed them to convince you it was returned. They might’ve told you it was but if you haven’t had someone over TPG Such as the federal reserve, FDIC, etc .. then they’ll continue to manipulate taxpayers and build interest off our funds until you do. The IRS will state they’re tracing the refund, only to tell you it’s out of their hands bc they e already sent it on their end. The most they’ll do is reach out to TPG and still allow them 120 days to respond on behalf of the check and if they don’t respond then your case will close. Please reach out to those financial institutions I listed above so they can investigate your case and move it in the right direction. Your process is very similar to mines. IRS received my check from TPG (Located it in their system) and it should be here the end of this month. Thank God. Good luck!

I have only recieved part of the tax return. Federal or the smaller one. It was direct deposited into my account. But i havent heard anything or recieved anything about the larger return, the state return.. so im really confused because i went onto the irs website to check my status but it said the irs found a discrepency which was why it was taking longer to receive the other portion but that it shoukd come within 30 to 60days or something like that. Its now been over 6months and the status still says the same on the irs website. 

I have no idea who i can call or how i can investigate this and receive my return. Im not working right now so thats 1,000 i should be getting back the other was only 170.
