Ok I E-filed and IRS accepted it on the 1/22/20 I thought was wired because they said they was not a accepting until the 27th. I looked at where’s my refund on the 1/25/20 it had one bar said was accepted. On 2/5/20 it went to the PATH act and stayed like that until 2/16/20 Message changed to we received your refund and is processing no bars nothing. My turbo tax says refund expected on 2/12/20 obviously that didn’t happen been way past 21 days. Has anyone else have this problem?

@Ray1994  Well, I finally got thru to the IRS. Apparently Turbo Tax did not forward the information for my PTC credit for my health insurance, which I know was filled out. So now I have to wait to respond to the IRS letter, fax over my 1095-a and form 8962.  After they receive it, it will take up to 8 weeks. Thank you everyone for your assistance, and thanks Turbo Tax. Now that I have my hours cut at work due to the virus outbreak and was waiting for the refund to pay for a medical procedure I needed, I am not happy with this service at all. Good Luck everyone and be safe!

You don't have to wait for the letter to fax the form.  When I noticed that on 02/17 which the original date I was supposed to get my refund that the bars totally disappeared, I call the IRS and I got the fax number the same day, faxed the 1095A and 8962 forms to them.  I then told the IRS I had a hardship and they were the ones who referred me to the advocate.  I got my refund in 4 weeks not the 8 that they are telling you in the letter.  I would suggest doing that but I don't know how it is going to work now because of the pandemic.  Yes TurboTax did the same thing to me just asked if I had Healthcare for the entire year and did not forward the 1095A or 8962 to the IRS.  They still haven't caught on because there are still people encountering the same issues.

Yes. Turbo tax told me they are charging me the full $250 for filling my taxes even thought I opted for it too come out of my return but my return hasn't made it here. And I was accepted on Jan 29

@Avg16and anyone else who received the same email.  If you do not receive your taxes by the time TurboTax debits your account, call your bank and dispute the charge because TurboTax is still going to get paid.  If you selected to pay your fees with your refund they are going to take that money out regardless of whether or not TurboTax got paid by debiting your account and TurboTax knows this!

Yes, I am having the same issue I filed 2/8/2020 and now I am receiving the bar still processing. Now turbo taxes are trying to debit my account for their fees instead of from my refund but yet no one has been in contact with me to figure out why it is taking so long. If they debit my account they better not take from my refund. I will not be using them again after this year.

Have you ever contacted the IRS?

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
If over 21 days since being Accepted by the IRS and the tax refund is still Processing you can call the IRS and speak with an IRS agent concerning your tax refund.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 4 for personal or individual tax questions.
It should then transfer you to an agent.

Yes it said it was accepted on feb 25 and it still says accepted and I can not get any info

I filed February 3 and it was accepted by both the State and Fed the same day.  I received my CO refund within 21 days, but still have not received my refund from the Feds.  It keeps saying they are processing it.  Turbo Tax wants their money, yet still waiting for mine.  No one to contact to help.

You can contact turbo tax live but I did that this morning and they were no help. Basically she told me nothing they can do it’s already in the computer to take the money out on the date they sent us. Even though they have admitted to being in the wrong and letting our taxes go through without our submitting necessary forms. In my case it was my 1095A. I have a phone number to contact the IRS and speed to an actual person. Here it is if you would like it   1-eight hundred 829-0 five 82 ext652. Your best bet is to call early in the am usual wait time is around 30 mins

Mine has been accepted for 52 days I got an advocate on 3/9 she told me it would be another 28 days which would put my return date 4/13 that is just 10 days difference than what the IRS said they told me a date of 4/23 so I do not think the advocates do much for you

I did

Yup... I am too... And 2 others I know. But it’s some unnecessary bs hold up on everyone’s money and they send a vague letter with no particular detailed reason, and say not to bother calling for information unless the refund doesn’t arrive in the 60 day time period. They need to really change the way they are handling these random reviews because it’s very annoying.

Yes. I efiled on 1/27/20 from turbotax like I did the last 7 yrs. Was accepted the next day and as of right now it's still processing.... we all could use that money right now 🤦‍♀️

I agree. And I've tried calling the irs and it says due to technical difficulties they are unable to answer my call and the call drops. I'm extremely pissed off at this point. Anyone know if they are closed? They should be considered an essential business like banks etc!!!!

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?
Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.  Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.

To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

@DoninGA, you do realize that your canned response is getting to the point that it is annoying.  Everyone knows what to do and most have done the steps mentioned above and more.  Asking someone did they followed the basic steps that everyone has followed that you so are so generously quoting above is now beyond ridiculous.  It is becoming insulting as you are implying that people do not know either how to file their taxes properly or do not know how to check the status or reach a live agent.  If that is the best advice you can give I would suggest you stop responding because it is becoming insulting to ask people the same canned questions over and over again.
