Have asked for refund status twice.. has been over 4 weeks since I filed and it was immediately accepted. your response was it would be Monday, but nothing. What, how, when can I expect refund?
Sorry only the IRS can tell you when. Once the IRS accepts your return then Turbo Tax does not get any updates from the IRS.
Turbo Tax will not have a status on your refund. If the IRS website says processing, this means they are working on it. Please use this link to track your refund from the IRS. Where's my refund?
K, quite disappointed and frustrated with intuit. IRS has no record of my return and it was you who said it had been accepted by IRS. I still have your email stating such. My return is NOT pending. For some 25 years nf using Turbo Tax and filing, electronically, have never had the first problem. Now, I honestly don't know what to do about our return. IRS says they have no record of my social security number, filing status or amount of return. Thanks, somehow, I'll find out what happen. You have plenty of customers, you shouldn't miss us next year.
The IRS websites not updated and way behind. It is not unusual for returns not to show up yet. There are posts saying they got the refund before it even showed up on IRS Where's my refund. Don't be discouraged.
Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Please see here for more information on checking the status of an e-filed return.
The IRS anticipates most taxpayers will receive their refund within 21 days of when they file electronically, with direct deposit, if there are no issues with their return. Majority of tax returns began processing on February 12, 2021.
The IRS anticipates a first week of March refund for many Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) taxpayers if they file electronically with direct deposit and there are no issues with their tax returns.
See the video in this link for a really good explanation of the process:
