Not good enough we filed for the advance!!! Turbo tax you lied to customers this is EXTORTION!! turbo tax will get that filing money right back through the credit karma cards and first century bank fees were not STUPID🤡🤡🤡
EXACTLY!!! ME TOO.
WRONG! YES THEY DO NO THAT TURBOTAX AND CREDIT KARMA PLUS FIRST CENTURY BANK KNOWS THAT THEY ARE ALL 3 THE SAME ENTITIES CUS SUPERVISOR AT TURBOTAX TOLD ME SO...THEY ARE JUST PLAYING WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS INTELLIGENCE BY SPINNING US ROUND AND AROUND🤣🤣🤣
I’m in the same boat. I filed my tax returns on January 23, 2022 in my taxes were excepted by the IRS on January 24, 2022. When I filed my taxes through TurboTax I opted in to receive the refund advance and even sign consent for TurboTax to disclose my information for the refund advance. I never received a confirmation email even to this day stating whether I was excepted or denied for the refund advance I contacted TurboTax and they are telling me they don't see where I chose the option to recieve the refund advance When clearly I signed a consent form for them to disclose my information. One representative from TurboTax she kept asking me to take a screenshot of my approval or denial letter in which I kept telling her I never received one and she claimed that that was the only way she could further look into it and that went unresolved. I even contacted First Century Bank Who issues the advanced refund money for those who opted in for it through TurboTax and they said there was nothing they could do I even provided by the last four of my social and they could not find anything on file And said I had to call intuit in which I did but then they tell me I had to contact TurboTax and turboTax pretty much claimed there is nothing they could do. They stated to me that this was something new they were trying this year so in a nutshell I never received my refund advance myself I have exhausted all options to assess how do you pursue it because no one has a clue even though we all signed consent forms for our information to be disclosed for the refund advance
Yes word for word this is exactly how they treated me turbo tax said call credit karma they said call first century bank first century said they had no application for me but i activated their card they sent me for credit karma with my social security number!!! They definitely scammed us this has to end with a class action lawsuit....
I filed a complaint with the BBB. The intuit president's office called me within about two hours to try and "resolve" the issue. They just gave me lame excuses and kept claiming that they would get First Century to email me. They still haven't of course. The bottom line is that this was all a ploy to get people to sign up for Credit Karma money. They don't dent it either when I've brought it up. I went to classaction.org and requested They look I to it. I'd encourage everyone too as the more requests they get, the more likely they are to look into filing a suit.
So after about 5 days of back and forth, I finally got the denial letter resent from FCB. It is total crap. They claim in the letter the irs informed them that I MAY have my refund adjusted to pay some outstanding balance. I have never had my tax refund adjusted, I don't owe the IRS any money. That is one of the freaking questions they ask you when you do your taxes. Anyone MAY have their refund adjusted, it just means it is a possibility. This is a lame excuse to not have to actually give the refund advance. The whole thing was a scam to get people to sign up for Credit Karma Money.
Complete incompetence. They deserve a class action suit for this being so misleading. Just got off the phone with Turbo tax and they said I would have to call First Century bank. I was approved and then I wasn't with no explanation but now my money is tied up.
What I want to know is if we don't get the advance in a timely manner, r they still planning on keeping that portion of our $$$ as if we did?!?!?!.
so i was given an amount that i was approved for for the advance was anyone else??
I got screwed as well. They duped us into getting a credit karma account and I got screwed out of my refund advance. I have used turbo tax for 6 years and this will be the last.
It says my return has been processed but now I am getting am IRS code 203. I'm not a student, owe no child support, student loans or any offsets. I looked on past threads about this and was reading that since I chose to have the Turbo tax fee taken out of my refund that was why this code was showing. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I agree. Now the IRS has processed my return and I am getting a code 203. Some other users from a past thread are saying this is because they opted for the turbo tax fee to be taken out of their refund. Are you seeing this as well. This a complete scam.
The IRS knows nothing of your choosing to pay the TT fees with the federal refund ... this is an IRS only issue.
That's what the threads were saying but then everyone who had their refund as payment for turbo tax got this code. The numbers they give you to call about it in past threads won't let you check to see if you have any offsets. I will keep you posted as to what happens.
