Refund Advance- credit karma closed account

Wow! How is everyone getting a new account and they won’t let me get a new account? I haven’t done anything wrong snd I call all day everyday plus write them on the chat and nothing? Who did you call?

I started chats with Credit Karma around 1/25 when I found out the account was closed and I got a balance check in the mail. I was able to open a new account without an issue on my own. I got no help from them until I actually received an email stating my refund was deposited. They confirmed it was deposited into my supposedly closed account and after 2 days of chats it was deposited into the new account.

I’ve been writing and calling credit karma for 2 weeks, 5/6 times a day and they all give the same bs answers. I was told my check was mailed out yesterday but I don’t believe them because the representative just told me that my refund was sitting in that closed account and  I can’t even open a new account. It gives me an error with an explanation mark.

Write to the federal trade commission just like I did Credit karma was sued once for 3 million or more theyre being investigated now by them and I retained a lawyer it's basically theft what they're .

I just seen something on google about a settlement. I have filed complaints and everything. I’ll do what you said.

They closed my account on January 2024 without me noticing and I even saw my checking out numbers were different but I thought since the routing numbers were the same I was good but they said they'll either accept my refund and put it into my new account or have IRS send me a check. I'm pissed either way last time I'm doing taxes with credit karma they really played with people's money.

Did the funds go into your new account or will it be mailed through check instead ?

They put it into my new save account that was connected to my new account different routing numbers so idk how they pulled that off but it did go in and I transferred it into my new spend account

I agree and I don't blame you. Regardless if it's a penny or 1000 we need our money. They should have told you in advance turbo tax is no longer with them. Especially if they knew. Unfortunately we live in a society we're nobody cares. I already reported Santa Barbara to the BBB and gave them one review. I had taxes and prep fees taken out by turbo tax then it goes to Santa Barbara they took out for taxes and prep fees. I don't blame you for being upset. See if you can go on your Turbo TAX account and see were they sent it. See if they can put your funds on a TurboTax card by Intuit

Yes, they closed my account and the funds went to my supposedly closed account. How did my taxes go to a closed account? Then they said they mailed my check out on the 23rd.

They won’t open me a new account. I can’t even see anything on my end.

Did anybody ever resolve this because I'm having the same issue. Only my money acct debit card still works. But I don't even have a card. Its unfair to not give someone access to their funds. I keep being told they will email me.

Yes! My husband used last years method which he didn't pay attention that it was a credit karma account and now we are sitting broke waiting for a check and bills due. The customer service guy can't answer anything. I'm closing my personal accounts after this because it's shady to close accounts for no reason.
