Need a signed copy of my tax return.. the e-file does not have any signatur

need a signed copy of my tax return. how can i get that. i looked at previous filings through turbo tax there is no electronic postmark saying that the return was accepted.

Your Electronic Postmark is a way you can prove that you e-filed before the deadline. It's a time stamp that shows when your return was transmitted. Here's how to print out a hard copy of your Electronic Postmark:

TurboTax Online – Simply go through the steps to check your e-file status online to retrieve your filing status history. You can then capture a screenshot or print it out from your web browser.

1. First, open your return.
2. Then, from File menu in TurboTax, select Check E-file Status.
3. Select Print.

thanks for reply. however i am looking for signed copy of my return. how do i get that?

You will have to print and sign a copy of your return. That is the only way to get a "signed" copy of an e-filed return.

My work needed a copy - with e files, there is no physical signature copy. Normally what they need, is to see that TURBO TAX did it, and the marked day and time that it was received.

@wendisue100 There is no physical signature on an e-filed tax return. If someone is requesting a "signed" copy then use a pen and sign it on the line that says "Sign here" to keep them happy.

If you e-filed the 2023 tax return using TurboTax there will be a Electronic Postmark Report which has the date/time the tax return was e-filed and the date it was Accepted by the IRS, if Accepted.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2023 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
