I accidentally deleted my 2024 and 2025 TurboTax icons from my desktop. How do I get them back?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Figure it out yet???
For "Windows" Computer.
1) Click on the Windows icon in the lower bar (four squares)
2) From the pop-up window, look for and click on the All > towards the top rt of the pop-up.
3) scroll down the list of programs until you get to the TurboTax programs in the "T" section.
4) Left-click and HOLD on the year needed, and drag it to the desktop. That will create a shortcut to the program on your desktop
It didn't work. I already tried the left click and drag.
Then you might be stuck staring it up by scrolling to it..
Unless you can find a local computer expert (or teenager) to help.
Dragging and dropping works for me.
On my Windows 11 this is what I found.....
Click the Folder icon on the bottom bar (mine is to the right of Search) to open File Explorer or
click on the Window's Icon (4 squares) at the bottom left and click on File Explorer
Go down to This PC
Go to the C: Drive, click on the > arrow in front of it
Then click on > by Program Files (not the one that says (x86)
Go down to the Turbo Tax folder and click it
In the Search at the top right type .exe
The TT programs will be listed with the big Red Ball with a checkmark
Find the year that you want, Right Click on it and choose Show more options > Send to
Select Desktop (Create Shortcut)
If you can't follow that I can make a screen shot.
