Tuition credits are updated in TurboTax, but for 2019 only. If you have not filed yet, you can do so now. If you have already filed your tax return and need to amend it to recoup your credits, use the instructions below to amend for 2019. Save the amending instructions for later if you need to update a previous year.
As macuser22 notes below, previous years' software has not been updated yet. Keep checking back.
You can amend e-filed returns if they've been accepted; paper-filed returns may be amended once they've been mailed.
If your e-file is still pending, you won't be able to make changes until the IRS either accepts or rejects it. Don't know your e-file status? Here's how to look it up.
Select your tax year for amending instructions:
Keep in mind: You have 3 years from the date you filed your return or 2 years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment.

@DawnC I don't think so if the poster is asking about the retroactive credits for 2018.
TurboTax has not released any 2018 software updates for amending 2018 since September 2019.
The revised 2018 Schedule 1 on the IRS website is still in the draft state. The currently available Schedule 1 does not support the tuition and fees deduction on line 33. No telling when the form might become final with the current IRS partial shutdown. After it becomes final it usually takes a month or more before the form specifications for tax software providers are released by the IRS.
