Go by the irs I also read today they just put in place 1200 employees at irs to process returns it’s states if it says processing a date will be given as soon as available that it’s good they have backlog and delays it’s stated you will receive tax deposit 21 days after accepted or up to 4 weeks
Your return is being processed means that your tax return is being processed.
Your status should change from being processed to accepted and then a date will be given for your refund.
Keep checking the IRS website each day for that.
it said received then it said accepted just for a few second then it went away and has not changed for a week just called and it says the same thing processing so that don't tell me much
This is normal. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update and show the status. The 21 days is just an estimated time frame. The IRS began processing returns on 2/12, you may not find a record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated.
Since Turbo Tax will not have the status of your refund, continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight.

Tax Season Refund Frequently Asked Questions
People keep replying to my OLD post as if all this just happened.
It’s NOT normal to wait this long to get a refund. It’s March 2022 tomorrow and I still don’t have my 2020 refund.
@iggerkp
TurboTax does not have information about refunds once you have submitted your returns to the IRS. For additional details about your situation, you will need to reach out directly to the IRS for further assistance.

Has anyone received they 2021 refund yet? I’m reading all these people got refunds who filed early as of feb 18 my tax was accepted on Jan 31 and I still have nothing it still says still processing a date will be given when available what’s going on
The IRS issues most refunds from e-filed returns in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. The IRS issues refunds, not TurboTax. This means that we can't say for sure why you haven’t received your refund if it's been longer than 21 days since you e-filed. You'll have to speak directly to IRS to find out more about the delay. For more information, please see the FAQ link provided below:
What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?
Hey every one I have update on taxes. If your refund says still processing a date will be given it’s a precaution from if theft I received a letter today you have to verify your identity how you filed and how much AGI and how you set up your refund through its identity website it’s short once complete your refund will be processed it’s stated it can be up to 9 weeks after verification process but I believe if it’s direct deposit it will be much faster hikes thus helps you guys it’s protection from the irs fraud systems
Thanks Victoria your awesome
Do you know the website to.speed up that process and verify our identity?
If you received a letter, you can verify identity at the IRS site here: https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/identity-verification-for-irs-letter-recipients
Identify.irs.gov
Did you ever get your return?
I did not. I filed Feb 1. I have a child tax credit and earned income tax credit but now I'm worried I may get stuck in limbo. Last year it didn't take but 21 days from file to return. Now I don't know what to think. The bar has never disappeared
