Has anyone received the message, ‘You are eligible for the payment. Once we have your payment date, we will update this page.” when they view the stimulus tracker? [Tax Year 2019]

Today marks 15 days since I gave the IRS my direct deposit information so for us that entered our information on the 15th should have received a date over the weekend so theres something else holding us up I wouldn't expect a date this Saturday either I'm assuming we wont get any answers or money until the IRS goes back to work fully staffed. Turbotax should be monitoring these threads and trying to help us

I don't think it has anything to do with TT. I still get from IRS "when we get a date we'll let you know the date", which seems disingenuous. Like they don't know the date, right... That's BS, why? Because they have an algorithm that determines EVERYONE'S date, and can easily tell us the date. Now I am reading from some, even if they get a date, they don't get their money. Incredible!

I have had this message since 04/15.  As of today 05/01 I still have this message and no deposit.  Both my 2018 and 2019 were filed with direct deposit information.  It is quite frustrating that here we are over 30 days since the government said payments were going out and no payment.  There is no one to speak to in order to find out what is going on and the government is not being made to make this a priority.

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

Added my account info 4/16. Still saying will update with a payment date to account 1234. I happily told my wife I updated our account info the day I did it. Now I gotta walk around the house like I have crap on my face because I know she’s not saying it, but in the back of her head she’s thinking I screwed something up.....lol.

I am lucky to have found this feed, I have been waiting for my stimulus since I updated my information on the 15th, I did not use turbo tax but my 2019 taxes are still being "processed" also. Apparently they did not have a copy of a 2015 return (I don't owe any money and have filed the return - I resent a copy to the IRS Texas address) Anywho that's my situation - still waiting on some type of update. I will send my emails to CNN and include a link to this blog. Hopefully something will be done for "the forgotten 15ers" that's what I am calling us.

This is my exact story. Filed a 2019 return, IRS needed my 2015 return, mailed them a copy, IRS closed, pending completion of 2019 taxes, Stimulus didn't come on the 15th, sent direct deposit info same day, approved eligibility, waiting on date since. 😞

Entered info May 15th finally just got a DD date of May 20, but no money in account like others are saying. Has anyone who got a DD date of May 20th checked bank account and money not there everyone I see is posting even that date says May 20 they already got their money I hope I don’t have anymore issues still waiting on tax refund since February

I too am waiting on my refund since 3/5. I still got my stimulus pay today with a DD of the 20th. Be sure to check your account all weekend. My bank which is a credit union did advertise that they can get our stimulus checks 2days faster than others. So keep those chins up if you got a 20th DD.

Has anyone that inputted the info for DD on the 15th received an update with a date?

Seems like anyone on the 15th that completed the DD info has been skipped and days following are getting an update.

So i am not quite sure what to do about it but my new husband is in the same boat. Inputed info into the get my payment tool on 4/17 and still no date. What is worse, had we left it alone anr just got a check it would of been mailed May 1st.  This is just ridiculous. I find it very hard to believe the IRS is not aware of this issue.

I updated my direct deposit information on April 16th, 2020.  I received the “you are eligible” message on the same day.  I have not received an update yet with a payment date.  Every single person that I know that entered their info on the 15th, 16th and 17th has received their payment date and/or their stimulus payment already.  What gives?!?!?  Is anyone in the same boat?

**UPDATE**

My Situation:

I filed my 2019 Taxes on March 9th, 2020.  I have received no update other than “Still Processing.” - As of 5/5/20

I entered my direct deposit information on April 16th, 2020.  I still have the same status of “Eligible....” with no payment date.
- As of 5/5/20

I reached  out to my local Taxpayer Advocate Support Office.  Every state has multiple locations (all physical locations are closed, but everyone there is working remotely.).  They are an independent arm of the IRS and have access to all of the same tools as an IRS Agent.  This was the best thing that I could have done!

Backstory:  2 Weeks ago, I called the same Taxpayer Advocate Support Group and was told that my tax return was processed, but being held by the IRS.  The reason that I was given, was because I missed filing my 2016 tax return.  I was told that they had sent me a letter on April 6th, 2020, but this letter has never arrived (As of 5/5/2020)
I hung up and quickly gathered all of my 2016 paperwork and completed my return.

Today, I decided that I would call the TAS Group for a 2nd time to verify some information and see what the best path forward would be to expedite my tax returns.  This time around, they called me within an hour of me leaving the voicemail. The person I spoke to this time was AMAZING!  She took a look at everything and here is what she found:

1.)  The IRS will not hold your 2019 return for unfiled taxes for prior years.  So the first person I talked to didn’t know what they were saying...

2.). The IRS held my return because they needed to verify my withholdings from my employer.

3.) The IRS should have released my processed tax return as soon as they received the info from my employer.

4.) The TAS Group can create a Case Number for you, and submits those Cases directly to the IRS every Friday.

5.)  The TAS Group can assist you if it has been longer than 21 days since you filed your return (if you haven’t received anything from the IRS.).

6.). I asked her about my Stimulus Payment. She said that she can see if it has been processed, but cannot see the payment dates.  She had mentioned that mine had not been processed yet.

7.) I reported to her that people who submitted their DD information to the portal on the 15th, 16th and 17th have not gotten their money.  She was unaware of this issue, but she would include it in her next report.

8.) This is a big one! This group reports directly to Congress and is essentially an over-site committee to the IRS!

I would highly recommend that everyone who has filed their 2019 return, and not received your return payment within 21 days, and also has not received your stimulus, to call this group ASAP!!!  They are here to work for us, the TAXPAYERS!!!!  Good luck everyone!  I will provide updates on this path that I have taken, as I have not seen anyone else try this approach (at least in this thread.).

LAST NOTE - Please find the phone numbers for your state, they all have multiple locations.  You will have to leave a message and they will call you back within 3 business days.  The first time I called, it took them a little less than 48 hours to call me.  When I called today, it only took them an hour to call me back!  I would recommended saying that “someone left me a message to call them back at this number.”  That seems to put you at the top of the queue.  Again, GOODLUCK!!!!

Your Taxpayer advocate is giving conflicting information. The IRS will hold a refund if there is (or they think there is a delinquent return). There is a whole department dedicated to this within the IRS and that is the only department that can release the refund once the return is filed. You have to submit either a return or proof that you had previously filed the return to the address on the notice(its in Texas). You can verify that you were sent a notice or have a delinquent return by logging into the IRS website to view your account or to get a copy of a Tax account transcript.  I know this because they were holding my refund due to what they thought was a un-filed 2015 return and they wanted to make sure I didn't owe anything on that return (I don't) however in the middle of me working on this the department shut down and I was no longer able to speak with them on the phone. My refund is still processing but my return has been fully processed --- I have been able to download a copy of my 2019 Tax return and account transcript.  While this might not be the case for you, it still can happen and that is the exact reason my 2019 refund is being held -- I have the notice. It does exist and it is a thing. However this should not hold up my stimulus because both my 2018 and 2019 tax returns have been filed, I do not owe any back child support. I truly believe that those of us in my exact situation are products of a glitch in the system where something truly wasn't coded right. I have been in contact with my advocate regarding my refund for 2019 but as for my stimulus I am floating in the water with the rest.
