I’m fighting with the State of Texas for disability! It’s been 5 years now and I’ve been denied 2-3 times! I can walk now but can’t drive or perform my profession.

No insurance and the hospital sent me home. Told me I would not leave their facility until they figured out why I had paralysis from the neck down and bed ridden. They found out I had now insurance and I was out the next day. So I now have medical bills with no answer. By the grace of god I’m able to walk now but can’t drive or work due to pain and numbness in my feet and lower legs. The state of Texas has decided I’m not disabled and its nonsense!

We are very sympathetic and sorry for your health issues.  But.....this is the user forum for preparing income tax returns using TurboTax software.  We can answer questions about income tax and about how to use the software.  We cannot advise you as to how to pursue disability benefits.  There is no federal income tax credit for claiming a disability, except for a higher standard deduction for legal blindness.   You need help from an attorney who specializes in helping with claims for Social Security disability.
