Yes, occasionally someone says they are having a problem with their routing transit number. In most cases this is because they have the wrong number, or the number starts with a zero, which they have left off.
All US bank RTNs have nine digits. If your RTN has eight digits, try adding a zero to the front of it.
If your RTN has fewer than eight digits, or more than nine, contact you bank and ask for the RTN for direct deposits to your account type.
Your answer is not genuine, I told you I have been using the software for over 15 years, the software put the EXACT same number in there every year so it cannot be the wrong number. Why every year people are waiting for updates for the same problem. I called the bank this morning and confirm the number and nothing has changed.
Thanks

OK
I tried everything you said but nothing worked HOWEVER please inform anyone else that may be having the issue how I got it fix.
1. I open turbo tax software then open the file you are working on
2. open the "forms" tab at top left
3. scroll down to where the banking information is and the routing box will be yellow with the routing number and the word routing number behind it. (that's a programming error)
4. Clear the box and move the cursor out of the box, then re-enter the cursor in the box and enter your routing number and that should fix it.
GOOD LUCK
