I too am having the same issue. The IRS accepted my return on the 24th. I spoke with credit karma the same day and they said they have no record of an account or application for me which sounded suspicious. They advised me to call TurboTax so I did. TurboTax told me it can take up to 48 hours for credit karma to receive and process my application. We are at the 48 hours now and I cannot get anyone from credit karma on the phone, it’s all automated messages 😑
That doesn't even make sense. The IRS would have nothing to do with approving the advance. The advance is approved by a bank on behalf of TurboTax based on the IRS accepting the return. More proof nobody has any idea what is going on. I will be asking for a refund of all fees paid for filing my taxes since I had to deal with this nonsense and had I filed with any of the other countless firms offering advances I would have no doubt had it by now.
I’m not sure if your reply is to me directly but I did not say the IRS has anything to do with the advance. I simply stated TurboTax/credit karma are marketing the advance within 1 hour of the irs acceptance and I am at the 48 hour mark. Neither company can provide answers
I did the same thing. I was approved and the IRS accepted my return and I have not received my advance either
First time using them and this will be my last. Same problem snd no answers.
I am having the same problem my refund was accepted on jan 21 at 606 pm and i still do not have my advance my sister in law did her taxes on the 23 of jan and has already gotten her advance so i am so confused i would like to know what is going on i have never had any problems with a advance until this year
I had the same thing happen to me. So now because it is seriously poor wording and glitchy design to the program we will not get our advance. Cool
Did your sister also use TurboTax and credit karma or another company?
I applied for turbo tax advance about 11am on 01/26/22. preapproved for a certain amount. My refund was accepted by the IRS less than an hour after. Now here it is 3 hours after being accepted from the IRS no advance denial or official approval or even any record I applied. Called Credit Karma, they have no clue whats going on. Spoke w/ Turbo Tax and they cant even see where I applied or any documents or email confirming it. HOW??? lol I had to sign the advance documents as well as apply for credit Karma card and log into a credit Karma account. So how did I manage to get the credit Karma acct started if I didnt apply for the advance??? everyone seems to be lost and no help. Anyone get it resolved??
Another one here. back n forth from credit karma to turbo tax several days...
Each party seems confused by the whole matter.
They don't have tools to look into it, nobody at either company seems to have any control of this product and they know as much as we do.
I almost though i was hallucinating the whole thing until i found this thread.
Yesssss! Same here I have the tracking for that stupid card they said you had to have and everything yet nobody has any of my info saying I even applied😑
Same here, filed around 3pm today, accepted literally 15 minutes later, was pre approved and nothing. Not even an email stating why. Now my taxes are stuck going on a credit karma card instead of my bank. I’m livid
I really don’t like the way they handled the advance this year. I have used TT for 6 years now but I think next year I’ll probably just go through somebody else. I still haven’t received my advance or any info and I also linked my credit karma account and signed up to receive the card. I would have never signed for my entire refund to go on this card if I wasn’t getting an advance. It’s frustrating.
Ugh I found this because I'm searching for answers to the same problem!
Filed on the 24th, was accepted by IRS before 4pm and still don't have it.
I do keep getting messages from the money card telling me to fund it. Like, really?
Same here! I went trough all the steps for the advance and was prequalified. My taxes were accepted on the 24th and I have seen no signs of the advance, not even an email. This is ridiculous. There is no way I would have had my refund sent to this card had I known it this was going to happen.
